If we’re going to colonize Mars, we’ll need buildings to live and work in. So researchers have made cheap, strong concrete out of “Martian” soil.

This Martian concrete may be strong enough to use as a building material, but how thick will the roof have to bee to stop cosmic rays and protons from solar mass ejections? Is that feasible in the absence of rebar?
