Zetetics is a science conceived and created by Professor Joseph T. Tykociner after he retired from the Electrical Engineering Department at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. The central thesis of Zetetics is that all human knowledge is related–not just all scientific knowledge, but all knowledge, including the arts. This means that according to Zetetics, molecular biology is related to modern dance. The connection between the two might not be obvious at first, but if you dig down deeply enough, you are sure to find one.

Zetetics envisions human knowledge to be like a giant slice of swiss cheese. We know about a lot of things and we know about the relationships between many of them. However, there are holes in our knowledge. We must have faith that the relationships are there–we just haven’t found them yet. If we search for relationships, we will find them.
